I have a little store of things I've put aside for 'when I had time', but somehow today none of them look right... hmmm ... One is a list of "Reasons To Be Glad You Have Turned 60" - I thought: 'what a good idea for a blog post', I agree, next year I will be 62 and, yes... I AM glad, though I don't actually agree with all of the entries, I don't think I ever needed to be convinced. But not that one today...
Well then, how about New Year Resolutions? - probably get a few of those around the blogs in the next few days - maybe I'll wait till I've done some reading, see what others have to say - might pick up something that can be worked up into a post - we'll see about that one.
Some more Christmas family pics? Yes, why not? We went up to Noel's daughter's place the day after Boxing Day, we were supposed to go on Boxing Day but decided the weather forecast wasn't promising, so we changed it to the next day; of course the day we didn't go, it didn't rain at all, but the day we did go - yep, persistently rained down all day.
We had a good visit though, the kids are fun and the daughter and son-in-law are always very welcoming and great company.

Kirby spoilt my attempt to photo their xmas tree, and little Lauren just didn't get the hang of wearing her pretty princess outfit.

Robbie was enthusiastic about showing us his pirate weapons,
but Auntie Joan hates the camera. (She will REALLY hate me for posting this one.)
There is also a joke-page link that I've been meaning to investigate for a while. I'm hoping to be able to add it on at the bottom of the posts. I might go and have a look a that, see how it works, or maybe not, maybe I'll go and watch a movie - oh dear, lethargic days these, aren't they?

It's a lethargic time of year, Della. I think it's the fallout from the rush and bustle of preChristmas doings - we crash after and need this week to chill out and recover our equilibrium.
There are plenty of good things about turning 60 and there are a few negatives as well but - we won't dwell on those.
Hope you're enjoying your quiet time. Talk soon.
Della, nice pictures. Oh how I wish it was warm here over Christmas. I suppose some folks wish for the cold.
What a little doll and princess, Lauren is...no matter how she decides to wear her outfit! She is a little pet. :)
I've been chilling out all week as Robyn states...I have to get my 'finger out' today and do a few things in readiness for my luncheon tomorrow...but I'm doing them bit by bit...I'm really very de-motivated! lol I did water my pot and hanging plants this morning...so that was a start...and in case you are wondering...you can lower your eyebrows again...they are 'potted plants'! ;)
Have a great New Year, Della...after the luncheon tomorrow, I will probably spend a quiet evening in front of TV or listening to music. No doubt, I'll see the new year in as I always do...but I'm not one for parties on New Year's Eve night.
Hi Della ~~ Glad you had a nic Christmas with family as I did, and I
don't feel very energetic either.
Maybe the New Year will inspire us !!
I enjoyed your family photos, and Aunty Joan looks nice, hope she forgives you. Thank you for your comments, and your friendship in the
blogging world. Take care Della and have a great New Year, with health, happiness and prosperity for you and your family. Love, Merle.
Hi Della,
Just dropping by to say Hi and enjoy your family photos. Love them! Nice of you to share your family with us.
Happy New Year!
Della,
I can't say I'm in a lethargic mode. We did get some snow today to take the glum dreariness out of the landscape. I am glad to hear that you are enjoying your holidays. Some of my friends ask, "how do you find things to blog about." I tell them my problem is trying to blog by the KISS method. Even when no ideas are chomping at the bit to get out, once I start writing out they come.
Happy New Year to You and Noel. Talk with you next year. Maybe we can develope a meme about being over 60. ;-)

Happy New Year Della.
Hi all,
puss, I am still working out which way the scales balance, not that it makes an iota of difference... can't change it - enjoying the good bits...
Steve, it's been lovely, not too hot, some years you wouldn't want it that hot!
Lee, yes she is a sweetie, very loving, when she's in the mood. hahaha 'pot plants'... Hope things went well for your lunch, I'm sure they did...
Merle, yes Joan is nice, she's also very spiritual, Noel's only Auntie still with us - his mother's sister.
Hi Barbee - lovely to see you!
Rel - an over-sixty meme, sounds interesting...
Happy New Year to everybody - see you next year eh?
